Specialized Substance Abuse Supervision Program (SSAS)

Implemented:

January 2006 as an Enhanced Intensive Supervision and Treatment Model

Created:

To address the treatment and supervision needs of offenders in risk of recidivism with chronic drug problems and criminal thinking through a coordinated and integrated strategy across systems.

Located:

5 sites covering: Douglas, Lancaster, Sarpy/Cass/ Otoe, Dakota, Buffalo, Dawson Counties.

Target Population:

Probation and Parole Felony Drug Offenders

Programming:

4 Core Components: Substance Abuse Treatment/and drug testing, Cognitive Groups, Individualized Case Management to meet specific offender needs and Field Supervision.
