Case Management

Case Management is achieved by identifying the risk level of the individual juvenile or adult probationer, applying an appropriate case plan and monitoring the plan. A probationer’s individual situation and other factors are assessed to determine which of two screening instruments is to be administered: Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (LS/CMI) for probationers with higher risk factors or Nebraska Adult Probation Screen (NAPS) for probationers with lower risk factors.

Based on the information obtained from one of these instruments, a case plan is developed that is appropriate to the situation, which results in increased positive outcomes and reduced recidivism.
